Traveling To Aruba

To get to Aruba, one must have a valid passport and proof that they can return to their country of departure or transit through another country. This could be a passport, residence permit, or a visa. A visitor also needs proof of the reason for their visit like a hotel reservation or an invitation from family or friends. You must also not be considered a threat to public safety. Due to Covid-19, proof of a negative covid test is now required before you can travel to Aruba. A round trip flight through Delta Airlines is $290 to leave on March 13th and return on March 20th.

To stay at the Hyatt Place Hotel at the Aruba airport would cost me $119 to stay the week. With the hotel located near the coast of Aruba, it would be very easy to visit the beach and take in the incredible views. I could also take a boat to visit Renaissance Island which is just off the coast of Aruba. At some points Renaissance Island is so close you could likely swim there without the need of a boat. Going inland instead, I could visit the Aquaventure Waterpark for a fun day of splashing around in the tropical weather of Aruba. To the southeast of the hotel, the Arikok national park would be a great place to spend a day hiking and exploring.

One of the places I would like to go to is Renaissance Island. Containing the only private beaches in Aruba, Renaissance Island is a great place to relax and enjoy everything Arubas beaches have to offer. The island contains iguanas and flamingos that are used to humans they will eat food right out of your palm if you offer. With rentable cabanas, numerous bars and grills, and breathtaking sights Renaissance Island is one of the best spots in Aruba. Another place I would like to go is the Arikok national park. This incredible national park takes up nearly %20 of Aruba and is filled with Cacti and the protected wildlife native to Aruba. Of the many sights to see in the park, some of the most interesting are the gold mine ruins, the Quadrikiri caves, and a natural pool protected by rocks.

The cost of this trip would be roughly $510 not including costs for food, water, and other random expenses like buying souvenirs. The $290 plane ticket, $120 hotel cost, and the $100 day pass to renaissance island make up the $590. I would say that the total cost including all other expenses, providing there are no emergencies like being sent to the hospital, would be somewhere between $1000-$1200. This seems like a reasonable cost for a week in paradise.
